The term deep sea creature refers to organisms that live below the photic area of the sea. These creatures must survive in extremely extreme conditions, such as hundreds of bars of tension, tiny quantities of oxygen, quite little food, no sunlight, as well as continuous, severe cold weather. Most animals have to rely on meals drifting down from above.
